The Reverend Thomas McKenzie is the founding vicar (pastor) of Church of the Redeemer. He's a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. His Master's Degree in Divinity is from Trinity School for Ministry in Ambridge, PA. He married his wife, Laura, in 1995 and they have two college-age daughters. Thomas was ordained in the Anglican Communion in 1998. He's a Benedictine oblate as well an Anglican priest. Thomas is the author of The Anglican Way, a guidebook for anyone interested in Anglican Christianity, as well as two devotional books.
Kenny is the Prior (Associate Pastor) of our church. He completed a Master of Divinity with a concentration in Church History at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Chicago in 1995. Kenny served at Redeemer on our pastoral staff in our beginning years and was church planter and founding pastor of St. John’s Anglican Church in Franklin, TN.
Kenny’s best friend and ministry partner is his wife of 34 years, Laura. Together they enjoy their four adult children. Kenny loves the outdoors, is an avid birder and an enthusiastic reader. He enjoys contemporary novels, science fiction, theology, essays and crime fiction.
After years in the Midwest in music ministry and in Russia serving international students, Patrick now serves as Redeemer's Music Worship Pastor.
Patrick and his wife, Cathy, are blessed with four adult children: Philip, Rebekah, Andrew and James.
He's fascinated by music, musicians, gadgets, languages, and all things cross-cultural.
Mary Cady Bolin
Mary Cady Bolin, our Children’s Pastor, she moved to Nashville in 2001 to attend Vanderbilt University where she received a BA in Religious Studies and Art History. She later received her Masters of Divinity there as well.
In the years since college Mary Cady has worked with children in clinical, recreational, academic and church settings. Each summer, she has the honor of being the chaplain at Camp DeSoto. She and her husband, Brian, have two daughters: Caroline and Harper.
Johnmark is a former missionary kid who blames all of his idiosyncrasies on too much dc Talk at an impressionable age. He graduated from Wheaton College where he studied Christian Formation and Ministry and also met his beautiful wife, Karisa. They have two daughters, Tegan and Harper. When Johnmark is not serving as our Youth Pastor,, he enjoys reading Brandon Sanderson, playing board games, watching movies and playing with his daughters.
