Local Outreach

In reaching out in our local area, we keep three things in mind.

First, our best outreach is done through personal relationships.  This is a key value of our congregation.  We seek to equip each of our members to proclaim Christ and live out his redeeming love.   This means that we want to see the fruits of evangelism, hospitality, and works of compassion in each member of our community.

Second, we are imperfect.  For this reason, we seek to partner with others in order to learn from them, and work with them.  We are blessed to walk in a daily partnership with Family Affair Ministries, a congregation in East Nashville.  Through these beloved sisters and brothers in Christ, we minister to the poor.  And the poor minister to us.  Members of our church have (literally) almost daily opportunities to serve the people of East Nashville through this partnership.

We support and run Family Affair's Clothing Closet and their new Food Pantry.  You can learn more about the Food Pantry by clicking here.

Third, we are willing to take risks.  If you walk along with us, you will see Redeemer reach out in a number of different ways.

Besides Family Affair Ministries, Church of the Redeemer also supports these  ministries at the local level:
