The model for Weed Wrangle Nashville, a P4P Project of the GC of Nashville, has been spreading to other clubs as a template for combating invasive plants in parks and public lands. The concept has been adopted by the Knoxville GC, GC of Lookout Mountain, Memphis GC and The Little GC of Memphis. All now are planning P4P Weed Wrangles. Supervised by an expert in invasive weed management, P4P members and community volunteers learn about exotic pest plants, locate and remove them. Typical unwelcome plants are honeysuckle (Lonicera japonica and L. maackii), Chinese privet (Ligustrum sinense), winter creeper (Euonymus fortunei), autumn olive (Elaeagnus umbellata var. parviflora), English ivy (Hedera helix) and kudzu (Pueraria montana var. lobata).
