sunday mornings

Where and When

We have two identical worship services every Sunday.  One begins at 9 a.m., the other at 10:45 a.m.  We worship at 920 Caldwell Lane in Nashville, TN, 37204.

Parking

There is special parking for visitors in the front of our property. When you arrive, look to your left and you should see open spaces marked for visitors.  Handicapped spaces are available in this same area. If you do not see an open visitor's space, simply go straight and you will end up in our large lot in the back. We have both asphalt and parking in grassy areas.

Entering the Church

On Sunday mornings, look for the double doors.  If you are coming any other time, look for the red door.  There are double doors on both sides of the building, and both sets lead to our lobby (what we call the “narthex.”)  Once in the narthex, you will be greeted and given a bulletin which will guide you through the service.  There will be friendly folks available to point out our nursery, Sunday school rooms, bathrooms, coffee and information table.

Bringing Your Children to Worship

During the month of July and the first week or two of August there will be no Sunday School for children or youth until August 14th, however,   There will be Childrenʼs Worship for ages 4-11 during the 10:45 service. This is Redeemerʼs normal summer pattern, and allows our ministries to take a break as we prepare for school to resume in the fall.

During the remainder of the year, please feel free to take your young children to the child care rooms before joining us in the worship service, we have well-staffed child care areas for children 4 and under. You may also keep your children with you in worship, if you prefer.

We have an excellent children's ministry program for ages 4-11.

If you come to the 9:00 a.m. service, please bring your children with you into the beginning of worship. They will be dismissed to their own program and then rejoin you later in the service for communion.

If you come to the 10:45 a.m. service, please escort your children to Sunday School before joining us in worship. Your children will join you in time for communion. Our greeters will gladly point you to the appropriate Sunday School rooms. You are also welcome to bring your child into the service. There is also Sunday School available for youth (6th grade through 12th grade) and adults during the 10:45 a.m. service.

What Our Worship is Like

Our worship follows an ancient pattern which includes contemporary and traditional music, times of corporate and private prayer, hearing and responding to the Word of God, a Bible-based sermon, confession of sin, sharing God's peace with one another, and Holy Communion.  All baptized Christians are welcome to receive Communion with us.

The entire worship experience is designed to allow us, individually and as a community, to encounter the Living God. In that encounter, we seek to bless the Lord and minister to Him. People from a great variety of traditions and experiences find this form of worship both powerful and transformative. Our hope is that you will join us and see what we mean.
